Our Culture & Community
November
Remembrance
We gathered as a school community for a reflective moment of remembrance. Children from Reception to Year 5 stood for two minutes silence, accompanied by one of our parents playing The Last Post. Year 6 pupils represented the school at St Augustine's Church.
Children In Need
On a wet and gloomy day, we brightened our spirits by participating in Children In Need's Challenge 25, where each class completed an exercise challenge for 25 minutes. The children were sponsored to help raise money, and what an incredible effort it was! In total, we raised £3,455.48!
Christmas Shoebox Appeal
This year we have supported House of Opportunities Christmas Shoebox Appeal to help send Christmas gifts to those who are struggling in Eastern Europe. In total, we sent 35 Christmas shoeboxes to help those in need.
Road Safety Week
As a whole school, we took part in Road Safety Week, reviewing how to keep ourselves safe on the roads and in the car. We all rehearsed the Green Cross Code and looked at the importance of seatbelts when travelling in vehicles.

October
What a great success for our first parent, baby and toddler session here at Even Swindon. It was lovely to see so many families joining us at school. Lots of fun activities and families making new friends. Look out for the next date here on our Facebook page.
Thank you so much for all your generous donations supporting Swindon Food Collective as part of our Harvest celebrations. We have sent 16 crates of food to the charity, helping to support families across Swindon.
Black History Month
This year, each year group took a different area to learn about a significant person from the past and present, how their lives were similar or different and their contribution to society. We ended our term by celebrating all of the different cultures that we have in our school, sharing clothing and accessories proudly.
